Day by day

  1. The day

Mabamba Swamp lies west of Entebbe on the northern shore of Lake Victoria, with thick marshes of papyrus, water lilies and other wetland grasses. Birding here is done from a motorised wooden boat, riding through a maze of channels cut through the marsh. After finding the Shoebill, we continue to Nkima Forest for lunch and more birding, adding forest species to your water and field birding at Mabamba.
